A streaming platform for Kenyan setbooks & local content

Students struggle to access quality, curriculum-aligned content for Kenyan setbooks and local subjects. Existing platforms are foreign, generic, and don't reflect the local syllabus — and content teams had no easy way to publish and organise a growing video library.

We built Soma Streaming on Maudhui, our headless CMS. Content teams model courses, setbooks, and lessons once and publish them to a fast streaming frontend. Maudhui handles the video metadata, curriculum structure, and editorial workflow, while M-Pesa powers affordable subscriptions for learners.

Soma can publish new local educational content rapidly, students get curriculum-aligned material built for them, and the platform scales as the library grows — all managed from one calm editorial dashboard.
